2021 Five Rings Fencing Classical Fencing Tournament, Sept. 25th and 26th

COVID permitting… Indian Trail Middle School, 1440 E. 151st, Olathe Ks. Otherwise, outdoors TBD
Registration and Cost:
$20 registration, plus $10 for a single event, or $20 for all events.
Please pre-register by emailing mark@fiveringsfencing.org.
with the subject “2021 FRF Historical Tournament Registration. “
Please include the events you’d like to fence, and your club affiliations / coach. If independent, please say so.

I will email you back with confirmation and additional information.
Tournament official events and times:
The events run backwards in time, starting with the 1880s and going backwards.
Saturday:
Saber: Check in / Registration: 8:30am, fencing starts at 9:30am.
Court Sword: Check in / Registration: 11:30am, Fencing starts by 12:30pm, prior event permitting.
Sunday:
Rapier and optional secondary: 8:30am, fencing starts at 9:30am
Long sword: 11:30am, fencing starts at 12:30am, prior event permitting.
I expect we’ll be done with fencing by not later than 5:30pm both days.

Heartland HEMA, Mike Roth’s group, is hosting their first tournament. Details:

Donnybrook- an inordinately wild fight or contentious dispute; brawl; free-for-all.

Heartland HEMA is proud to announce our inaugural annual tournament.

Date: Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th

Time: Saturday doors and check in opens at 8:00am. Events start at 9:00am. Tournaments will run till 6:00pm.
Dinner afterwards for anyone who would like to join us.

Sunday doors and check in opens at 8:00am. Events start at 9:00am. Tournaments will run till 3:00pm.

Rapier/ optional offhand device
Smallsword
Longsword

Sunday
Saber
Short heavy sword/ optional off hand device. (more details in the rule set about this event. In general it’s for all the swords that don’t get to play much; messer, dussaks, katanas, broadsword… things that are short and heavy)

Additional events:
Three additional awards are going to available for fevers to compete for.
Iron Man (best overall fencer )
Hand sniper (collective most successful below elbow attacks)
Scholar (this award is to the fencer that fought most technically proficient regardless of placement in the events. A scholar will be awarded in each individual event and an over all)

Price: 50$ flat entry fee, all events
