Lafayette is closed Wednesday the 24th. No fencing.

No fencing on Friday, March 8th. There’s a school play. Also, spring break is March 18-25th. Académie Lafayette is, of course, closed for that.

There is no fencing at  A.L. for the rest of this week, and Monday is President’s days. So, our next practice there is Wednesday the 21st. New security policies require that we must enter  through the doors nearest the office, and that we may not prop the door open. Meaning that there will be two windows where a coach will be by the door to let fencers in. From 6:20 to 6:40, and from 6:55 to 7:05. If you find no coach to let you in, text 785-550-6718 (Mark), or 785-550-6716 (Sam) for entrance.

January 22.  No fencing.

Academie Lafayette is closed today. No fencing.

Just a reminder. Academie Lafayette is closed for MLK day, Monday, January 15th.

Therefore no fencing.

The church has requested that we cancel today, January 9th. I think that’s wise.

As we start back up, we want you back! We still have a hard time loaning uniform gear, so we’re not terribly actively seeking new students. Email us for where and when we’re meeting.

Heartland HEMA, Mike Roth’s group, is hosting their first tournament. Details:

Donnybrook- an inordinately wild fight or contentious dispute; brawl; free-for-all.

Date: Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th

Time: Saturday doors and check in opens at 8:00am. Events start at 9:00am. Tournaments will run till 6:00pm.
Dinner afterwards for anyone who would like to join us.

Sunday doors and check in opens at 8:00am. Events start at 9:00am. Tournaments will run till 3:00pm.

Three additional awards are going to available for fevers to compete for.
Iron Man (best overall fencer )
Hand sniper (collective most successful below elbow attacks)
Scholar (this award is to the fencer that fought most technically proficient regardless of placement in the events. A scholar will be awarded in each individual event and an over all)

Price: 50$ flat entry fee, all events
